The Disaster House, Part 1

What to Do When The Unexpected Strikes Your Home!
Planning a remodel can be an exciting time in one’s life. Remodeling because of a home disaster can be very unsettling. Receiving a phone call when you are on a trip from your neighbor that water is running out the door of your house can ruin anyone’s day.
Returning to find your house has flooded will force you to rethink how this disaster could have been avoided. We will share with you in the coming weeks the steps we will take in restoring this Tempe home to its original state.
One tip I want all homeowners to do immediately is replace their washer hot & cold supply lines with the newer metal reinforced hoses. These hoses will help protect a hose from bursting prematurely. The second tip is always shut off your hot & cold water supply lines to your washer while you are away. This will help give you “Peace of Mind!”
We are about to start the rebuilding stage, reinsulating the perimeter house walls – now onto drywall replacement!
